Question Package Manager on Fedora core 1

HI,
I'm having problems with Fedora core 1 Package manager. Every time when I try to install anything it gives an error popup
________________________________
Error installing packages
---------------------------------------------------
There was an error installing packages.

Exiting.

and shuts down. I think it doesn't show installed packages correctly and when it's started it shows Total installation size 2,676 Megabytes even when I haven't selected any new packages.
Same thing on KDE and gnome if they have something to do with it.

Is there any way to fix it or is there some other package manager that works.

Oops I just realized what that Total installation size 2,676 Megabytes was about. I thought it was size of packages installed after pressing update. In my country we use comma for decimals and dot for separating thousands so it looked like 2MB .
I just found a web update on this and found update for that manager and now it seems to work ok. Had some problems with it too so didn't find it before.

Thanks!

Can anyone tell me what to do with it? I downloaded redhat-config-packages-1.2.7-1.noarch.rpm, and when I try to use it it says "Could not remove packages" - "You have selected a package for removal that is depended upon by a necessary system package. This package must be unselected before package removal can continue."
I've got a horrible feeling it's something really obvious I'm either doing or not doing - anyone shed any light?

Would have gave a link for that but I updated it with that Red Hat Network tool that comes with Fedora. Just check the checkbox in front of whateverwasitsname and it downloads and installs it. It can be found from start>>system_tools>>Red_Hat_Network.
