Maybe you are confusing firmware with drivers.
A driver is code that the computer needs to run to talk to a device.
Firmware, on the other hand is data that the computer needs to pass to the device. Sometimes it is code because the device has a CPU, but from the PC point of view is just data.
The point is that you don't need a different version of the firmware.

if you need help configuring your sagem modem, there's a wiki in the ueagle page. If you cannot help yourself this way, your best option is to post a question in the mailing list (you will find how in the wiki).
