sagem fast 800 E4 + debian

hello to the community,

i have a problem installing sagem fast 800 E4 with debian. Actually i found the driver from ueagle but it is only for kernel 2.6.17-10-11 but i have 2.6.18-4-686. does anybody have the firmware for my kernel version or any work around?

Maybe you are confusing firmware with drivers.
A driver is code that the computer needs to run to talk to a device.
Firmware, on the other hand is data that the computer needs to pass to the device. Sometimes it is code because the device has a CPU, but from the PC point of view is just data.
The point is that you don't need a different version of the firmware.
Now, your question:
if you need help configuring your sagem modem, there's a wiki in the ueagle page. If you cannot help yourself this way, your best option is to post a question in the mailing list (you will find how in the wiki).
