sagem fast 800

I am new to this game and I have installed Fedora Core 4 on my machine with a dual boot with XP pro.

Everything seems to work except that I cannot get my USB modem working.

I have downloaded the files from the Sagem website and followed the instructions but when I get to the end of the instalation there is no 'eagleconfig'.

My ISP is Tiscali who have been fine up till now, they don't do Linux!

Use the Search option at the top of the screen with the string 'sagem fast 800'
This issue has already been discussed.

Personnally I use the eagle-usb driver with a Sagem Fast 800 modem, and it works great under SuSE Linux 9.1
It should work also for you.
Good luck.

what form is it in? source? packaged? help if you posted the steps you had done and the errors you got.

Personally i use tiscali, i phoned up tech support on the same issue a year ago, the guy kept trying to tell me Linux didnt have 'the internet'...

I bought a router, much better

I got rid of the sagem fast 800 modem and reverted to my Binatone ADSL 2000 router. I got the settings from Tiscali even though they dont support Linux. System recognised router and connected with no problems and minimal input from me. I run a Dual system with XP pro the router has improved my connection performance immeasurably no more dropping of connections etc.
