etch net install hangs on install software

Hi,
I've been talking someone through installing etch. They told me it just hangs on "select and install software" screen. I thought they were doing something wrong so I tried myself. I get exactly the same problem :s

We're in diffrent parts of the country, we've tried diffrent apt sources and are using different net install disks.

The only thing I can see in common is either all the UK servers are off or there's something up with the new netinstall CD. Can anyone advise. Thanks

There's an issue with the official RC1 netinstall images - the GPG signatures have expired. Use a daily built ISO till RC2 comes out. It's actually no big deal - I used a daily to install Etch two days ago, worked like a charm.
