Just as a comment - I know that this area doesn't get much traffic, but as a suggestion...

It's very helpful to include the location and length of employment in the subject - i.e. "Linux Admin - NYC - Full-Time" or "PHP Programmer - Telecommute - Freelance Project"

It would also be better to post the payout rate, so that everybody will know what we are talking about.

Not sure exactly what you mean. The LQ Job Marketplace is setup to enable companies with interesting employment opportunities related to Linux and Open Source to reach the LinuxQuestions.org community. Anything outside that scope would not be appropriate.

Thanks Jeremy. i have setup a Spam server SpamAssasin/Mailscanner/MailWatch spam server with AD authentication. The site is not the right place to offer services.

Is this the appropriate form or area to ask for help (short term freelance work) in the Hartford area? We are not too knowledgeable about Linux and could use some help getting through an application installation.

Would it be possible to buy small (10, 20$) services through LQ? For a single 10$ question, paying 20$ to LQ is a bit much! 20% would be a reasonable cut. You never know, a small fee questions forum might thrive!

Thank you. And I am still seeing threads being posted that are missing this vital info in the subject title since that post was created back in January of 2007! This would make it much easier for people to navigate or scan through threads if the subject title included this basic info of location and legth/type of work. It is annoying to click on link just to find out the job is on the other side of the US or in another country all together. I would very much appreciate and I'm sure others would too if everyone that is posting jobs would include at least the job location in the subject title as it will save us time (yea a few seconds, but still...).

You have to pay a fee? That sucks, not everybody can buy things online, and it would be better to use classified. Since one shouldnt have to pay if they don't get anything.

Why not? The price to post here is low and it is by no means mandatory to post a job ad on LQ.
