Yesterday I installed my system with FC5. Everything is working fine except Flash from Macromedia.
I downloaded the FlashPlugin from macromedia, installed it in /usr/lib/firefox-1.5.0.1/
When I check the plugin dir in firefox the flashplugin is there, but it just doesn't work.
I also tried to install plugin with missing plugin wizard which can be run when clicked on it in the firefoxbar, no result either
For Flash and Java run "system-config-securitylevel" as root and as your user. For each (root and your user) on the SELinux tab under "Modify SELinux Policy" click "Compatibility", then tick the check boxes for "Allow executables to run with executable stack" and "Allow the use of shared libraries with Text Relocation". Then click the "OK" button.
but flash doenst work yet, i change the path directory in the file SETUP (/usr/lib/flash-plugin) 'cause i have my firefox brower in /usr/bin/firefox and /usr/lib64/firefox-1.5.0.1/ I just put it into the line LOCATION
the plugins for firefox are in /usr/lib64/firefox-1.5.0.1/plugins
What can i do?
Thank for your reply
Bye
marcolux if you are running a 64 bit browser, then flash wont work. This has been posted many many many times. Install a 32bit browser and then try installing flash. I'm sure it will work.
