libGL error, stretch amd64, unable to lead driver r600_dri.so/swrast_dri.so

Hya

I ran into libGL error
Code:
libGL error: unable to load driver: r600_dri.so
libGL error: driver pointer missing
libGL error: failed to load driver: r600
libGL error: unable to load driver: swrast_dri.so
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast
with LIBGL_DEBUG verbose, the program looks into /usr/lib/dri/ for these libraires. They do exist under /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/.

With a link, /usr/lib/dri/ -> ../x86...gnu/dri/, error goes away.

Interesting fact is that this error happens with only one of several stretch (amd64) penguins. An attempt to reconfigure libgl1-mesa-dri (dpkg-reconfigure) did not resolve. I am not sure how this happenes, but my penguin is at least surviving now.

Does anybody know how this happens? (and proper solution)

cheers

Debian Wheezy, Jessie are supposed to be OK.
Debian Strech : Can have issues.

But : Your issue can be about the used application, which may be hard coded to look in /usr/lib/dri/ only, and thus ignore the "new path`s in Debian"

Hya,

Thank you for your post.

The program is "qlandkarte".
Purge and install (by aptitude) did not resolve.

Yes, stretch may have issues. For the time being, what is the best workaround? (No future side effect)

cheers

If you want to use your own build of qlandkartegt, you already know the workaround :
Make some links or copies to /usr/lib/dri/.

You can also use the Debian version, I guess : Install the Debian package qlandkartegt

Hya,

Thank you for your comment.

I will "ln -s".

Apology for not clear statement in my previous posts, qlandkarte and other libraries are all debian repo.

I am sure postinst script of debian package is the target to check. I do not know how.
May be I need to trace from qlandkarte to r600.dri also.

cheers

++added on edit.
The penguin had (still has) this issue. Good penguins do not load r600, but i915, (different chipset!)
