I'm guessing that refers to Ubuntu Advantage, Canonical's commercial support package, which includes Landscape:

I wasn't aware of it either, or else I had seen it a long time ago and had forgotten about it.

Ubuntu Advantage is another excellent suggestion! While I'd have to further investigate the utility of Landscape in an Active Directory environment, one BIG concern of management using Linux in a business setting is "who is responsible?" Although we haven't called Microsoft for support in years, knowing we can gives reassurance to management. I guess there is Red Hat Enterprise, but we're not doing Red Hat!

Thanks for the tips!

Yes, meant Ubuntu Advantage. For a production environment those service contracts can be worth a ton. I had even considered getting it for my home use but couldn't justify the cost compared to how few problems I have had that weren't easily solved with a quick google search. And if you are managing a load of machines... say 20+ then Landscape pays for itself almost I would think.
