Post Upgrade Red Hat 7.1 Kernel to 3.16.

Hello.
How can I upgrade Red Hat 7.1 Kernel from 3.10 to 3.15 or 3.16? Why Red Hat not update its Kernel and I don't like to upgrade it manually.

Thank you.

Red Hat *DOES* update their kernel, but not as frequently as what's on kernel.org..there's a lot to test/certify, which is why people buy Red Hat. If you want to update to the latest kernel in RHEL, type in "yum update kernel". Contact RHEL support for help.

Otherwise, feel free to build your own kernel....and void the support contract on your machine.

in the lifetime of a RHEL version
5.0 to 5.11
6.0 to 6.??
and 7.0 to 7.???
the MAJOR version of a program WILL NEVER!!! CHANGE!!!

now SECURITY and bug fixes WILL BE BACK PORTED

but in rhel 7.x the the 3.10 kernel WILL STAY the 3.10.???.??? kernel ( with SECURITY fixes included )

this IS!!! one of the MAJOR REASONS one buys the redhat support contract !!!!
and uses redhat !!!

if you MUST HAVE the "latest and greatest " then you are using the WRONG operating system

install fedora 22
