Will USB NIC work?

I'm running Slackware, and from this topic I am pretty sure my current NIC is dead. So I need a new one. But I can't add it internally (see my sig).

Will this product work in linux? I want to make sure that both my current NIC is dead, and that this will work before I spent $50 on it.

I don't see a listing for it on http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/showd...20&w=t&s=v&d=a (a database of all usb devices tested on linux). Go to linux-usb.org for more information, and a listing of working devices.

There is also the remote chance that it will work with the ndiswrapper driver (a windows driver wrapper for linux).
