complete guide for installing Canon i250 under FC3

I've succedeed in installing my USB Canon i250 printer under Linux Fedora Core 3 and I thought someone culd find this information useful as I have seen a lot of posts here but without any clear simple and tested solution for this problem.
So here it is:

Step 1:
download the packages libglade-0.17-15 and libpng-1.2.7-1
from http://www.rpmfind.net

Step 2:
at the shell prompt type:
yum install libglade-0.17-15.i386.rpm
yum install libpng-1.2.7-1.i386.rpm
you must be connected to the internet for these two instructions to work ..
the yum instructions will prompt the user for some file (dependencies) downloads. type y and press enter

Step 3:
go to http://www.canon.co.nz/products/prin...0_drivers.html
and download the following two packages: bjfiltercups-2.3-0.i386.rpm and
bjfilteri250-2.3-0.i386.rpm

Step 4:
at the shell prompt type:
rpm -ivh bjfiltercups-2.3-0.i386.rpm
rpm -ivh bjfilteri250-2.3-0.i386.rpm
Dependencies error occurs if libglade and libpng above are not installed.

Step 5:
Following the Guide, also downloadable from the site:
# /etc/rc.d/init.d/cups restart
# /usr/sbin/lpadmin -p i250 -m canoni250.ppd -v canon_usb:/dev/usb/lp0 -E
# /usr/sbin/lpadmin -d i250

and that's it!
now u can print!
#lpr myfile.txt

In case related, my kernel is 2.6.9-1.667 - initial Fedora Core 3 kernel.

I did all what you did and had no error messages, on slackware. But I still can't print anything...

I installed all rpms and ran the commands as djionel82 says, but still I just can't print with the i250. However I can perform mainteneance task as cleaning with bjcups, but when I send a file the printer does not respond at all! and a message box confirms that the file was sent to the printer.
This is weird, the so called turboprint drivers works perfectly, and I could install the rpms without problems as well. what else should I try?
