Very mature and stable. Installs on most hardware with out major problems. Huge selection of software.

A perhaps more important question is "What is your linux experiance level?"

Look at Ubuntu

Take a look in at Ubuntu, they have a netbook remix available for netbooks.

Right can check it out at ubuntu.com and the download link is here.

view the links in my sig, there are links to how-to's for various distros of Linux on the Aspire One.

I run Debian Lenny on my Acer Aspire One, because it's the Distro I am most familiar with.

Thanks for the info and ijust started ubuntu a month ago and ixed a major net work bug in my grnadpas comp im 14 and i fixed for him my uncle a comp nerd working for clogic and well he couldnt fix it eiher!

also i cant figure out how to install debian on my netbook i feel newbish
