Debian Lenny

Very mature and stable. Installs on most hardware with out major problems. Huge selection of software.

A perhaps more important question is "What is your linux experiance level?"

Look at Ubuntu

Take a look in at Ubuntu, they have a netbook remix available for netbooks.

Right can check it out at ubuntu.com and the download link is here.

This link will show you the netbook models the Ubuntu Netbook Remix has been tested with (yours is listed). Take a look at it by clicking here.

view the links in my sig, there are links to how-to's for various distros of Linux on the Aspire One.

I run Debian Lenny on my Acer Aspire One, because it's the Distro I am most familiar with.
