Flash off sync... alsa with oss emulation (I think)

Hello, I've been trying to fix this problem with flash, because the sound never stays syncronized with video.

It's really annoying me. I can't watch those animutations anymore!!

If you could help, that would be great.

Oh yeah, it's 7.0.

I've heard of people disabling their sound daemon to 'fix' this issue. Don't know what DE/WM you are using, but if it's one that has a sound daemon (artsd for kde, esd for several others) see about stopping it or disabling it.

Cool

Cool
I am using ESD, but when I try to killall esd, it doesn't do anything.

Maybe it was never enabled at all?

i'm also trying to find a workaround... this out of sync thing is annoying, hehe...

has any of you managed to find out anything??

i read the known bugs for flash player 6.x (linux) and it mentioned an out of sync problem, but there's no mention of it in the 7.x release notes...
