Uninstalling

Recently I've worked with several of the distros, Red Hat in particular, and after an update that went arrie, I need to CLEANLY uninstall red hat and the grub2 startup boot manager. In times past, I've just deleted the partitions containing the boot sectors, RH storage, etc. etc. but it always leaves me with a non-GUI, text based Grub2 Loader that can't do anything becuase there isn't anything to load. Anyone know how in the heck I can cleanly uninstall RH 9?

First uninstalll grub using the
rpm -e grub
