umount the usb hardisk


When i umount the usb hardisk from the Red Hat AS3.0.
For example, umount /mnt/usbhd1.

when i extract it. There is always I/O errors:
I/O error: dev 08:10, sector 0
I/O error: dev 08:10, sector 0
I/O error: dev 08:10, sector 2
I/O error: dev 08:10, sector 78140152
I/O error: dev 08:10, sector 78140154
I/O error: dev 08:10, sector 0
I/O error: dev 08:10, sector 2
...........
...........

I really don't know why!

possibly some bad sectors on the disk?
