sendmail problem


I m using sendmail-8.13.4-2 in FC 4.I configured the sendmail.mc file ,but when i send a mail to an external account ,the reply address is root@localhost.localdomain.

My domain name is hxyz.com and it has an mx record as mx1.hxyz.com

does any one has a document for confgiguring send mail or any other mail server .My current linux system is on public static IP.

Kindly help

How are you sending these emails? Client, command line?
