RPC call returned error 1


Hi I have got redhat 9 server with kernel version 2.4.20-8. yesterday
i had enable NAT on this from that time i am receiveing this error on my screen.
May 6 14:22:59 server kernel: portmap: RPC call returned error 1
May 6 14:22:59 server kernel: RPC: sendmsg returned error 1
May 6 14:23:00 server kernel: RPC: sendmsg returned error 1
May 6 14:23:00 server kernel: portmap: RPC call returned error 1
May 6 14:23:00 server kernel: RPC: sendmsg returned error 1
May 6 14:23:09 server last message repeated 3 times
May 6 14:23:09 server kernel: portmap: RPC call returned error 1
May 6 14:23:10 server kernel: RPC: sendmsg returned error 1
May 6 14:23:10 server kernel: portmap: RPC call returned error 1

The system is also running too slow seems like its freezing. pls guide me
to resolve this problem.
