I installed redhat 9 in my pc (Intel 2.8 Ghz, 512 DDR RAM, 40 GB Segate IDE Bracuda, Intel desktop mother board D865 GBF/ D865 PERC), in redhat 9 installtion I face DNS server error (its not working and I still did not find any solution for this), after this problem I decide to install REDHAT 8 to override this problem.
When I try to install Redhat 8 on this machine, ever time after LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD define option redhat 8 ask me for NFS SERVER/ FTP/ HTTP. its not going direct on CDROM image which I inserted in my CDROM.
This problem is in this specific machine, I try these CDs in other machine and redhat install normally.
I tried all option in redhat 8 installation like, {entre} {linux text} {linux dd} {linux askmethod} etc etc. but problem still exist and it asking me for NFS SERVER/ FTP / HTTP plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz plzzzzzzzzzzz help me its urgent and I am hopeless.

Did you check your BIOS settings to be sure it isn't set to boot over a network?
Set it to boot from the cdrom.

resouce issue

hello!

just for the install, disable unnecessary devices in your bios. this could include usb, sata, paralell port, etc. you can enable these things after the install completes.

if you look closely (and quickly), during the boot sequence, you'd likely see something to the effect of:

PCI_IDE: unknown IDE controller on PCI bus 00 device f9, VID=8086, DID=24ca
PCI: Device 00:1f.1 not available because of resource collisions
PCI_IDE: (ide_setup_pci_device:) could not enable device.

good luck!
joe
