Oracle 10g on RHEL 4

I'm trying to install Oracle 10g 10.1.0.2 on a RedHat Enterprise 4 server. I have followed the work around for the release problem. But when I enter -ignoreSysprereqs the installer still checks to make sure all the prereqs are met, it then tells me I only have 1 MB of RAM left (this is on a system with 1.5GB RAM). It then forces me to exit the installer. This is my first time working with Oracle so any help to get around this problem would be great.
