Hi.

There is 9.1 beta's out on the redhat website. So I guess the final of that will be getting released in the near future.

I'm not 100% on this one, but I've heard from a couple of people I know that red hat 10 is getting released in the next month or two (I don't know how true that is though).

I read on OS news that redhat are able to get their release out because gnome 2.4 was released on time. This was just a comment by someone, but made me interested.

You're running 9, not 9.0. And the "Severn" beta has the version 9.0.93, not 9.1.

The 9.0.93 number in the beta is no indication of what version the final release will be. For instance, the beta versions prior to the release of 8.0 were 7.3.92 to 7.3.94. Those are just numbers.

Next major release of Red Hat is codenamed "Cambridge".

Release date unknown as of yet. (source -> LINUX Format magazine, Sept. 2003 issue)

That is no secret, because that name has been published this time.
But it's inaccurate. "Cambridge" is just the codename of what will become the next final release. It is not the name of the next final release. The final will have a different name (or code name).
