neat command not working azx_get_response timeout message in /var/log/message


neat command not working any gui based network configuration tool not working. after giving neat command my laptop unable to shutdown porperly.
kernal: azx_get_response timeout message occurs in /var/log/message.


please help me what to do?

The "azx_get_response timeout" seems to be related to your sound card drivers (according to what I found on google - http://linux.derkeiler.com/Mailing-L.../msg01496.html and http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/lin...09.3/0573.html).

Can you try and start neat (or the other tools) from a terminal window and post any errors that you see please?
