Cool how to install the mysql header file .....


i having the version of MySQL-client-standard-5.0.27-0.rhel3.i386.rpm

i install in the redhat linux but i doesn't contain the header file ,
i need the header file using in c++ coding "mysql.h" is used in mysql4.1.7 , but the same header file is not present in the mysql5

can any one tell me the how to install the header file .......

where it will be locate ... or which name it will be

You are probably looking for a package name "MYSQL-devel" or MYSQL-dev". Just toss those names through rpmfind.net or rpm.pbone.net and you'll probably find it. I'm not that familiar, but does RedHat use yum like fedora, because if so, that whole thing simplifies to something like:

yum install MySQL-devel

BTW, I saw that you posted this message in three forums. Multiple postings are against the rules here. The moderators are going to close all but one of these. Just to warn you - don't do that again. I doubt anyone will really hold it against a first-time offender, but be warned. :-)
