I just installed RHES 4 on our new HP nas server. I has a storageworks ultrium 460 attached with has 400gb tapes! I need to know the best way to accomplish backups, recovery, etc... We will be writing to specific drives on this device and will need to have weekly backups of these drives.
Any reccomendations as to what software would work best? I tried Novanet but it does not see my tape drive.
Red Hat supply "amanda" as part of RHEL for tape backup, and that's a product that's been around for a long time. It's also well worth checking out Bacula, which is increasingly popular .
