Question Hardware requirement for RHCSA Lab Practice

Hello all,

I am preparing for RHCSA certification and i need to buy a laptop (MacBook to be specific) for this, i want to know if a system with 8GB RAM would be sufficient or should i go with 16GB. I am using Oracle Virtial Box to create virtual machines and would allocate atleast 1GB for each of the 3 Virtual Machine, would this slow down a 8GB system and screw it up? any help and suggestions will be very helpful :-)

Hello,

The answer is always "The more RAM the better". But, 8GB should be sufficient for 3 VMs with 1GB each.

Again, the more RAM the better.

IMO, MacBook is expensive Vs a Windows laptop. I had one once and didn't like it. Why do you need a MacBook to run VMs?

Also, look to purchase a SSD for disk. VMs run way much better then a traditional hard drive.
