Question .exe files

Hi All

I am working on Red Hat 9.0 and I want to run a .exe file which I downloaded from Windows. Kindly tell me how to execute it.

Regards
Meenal

You can't. You may be able to extract it with cabextract, but most probably not. exe's do not run on linux, unless through a WINE emulator.

You can find the download for WINE here. If you have a compatible program, it may work, but you should note that .exe files are native only to Windows and not Linux. You may have better luck in finding a Linux program that does the same as the Windows application you want to install. If you want to name the program, I'm sure there are many who could point you in the right direction.
