eth0 and eth1 problem


i cant't solve this problem, i have 2 NIC runnning on centos 5, eth0 is directly connected to a modem, eth1 is connected to a switch hub for LAN, but if i assigned an IP on eth1 there is conflict i could not connect to internet, how is this?

What are the IP's of the NIC's, other machines connected to the hub and modem? Sounds to me like one of the other devices on the hub already has the IP you want

eth0 is 210.4.102.2 w/c is the public IP. eth1 is 10.10.10.1 w/c I assigned

You want not only these two nic can be assigned static ip but also connect to internet by this machine. Right?
Not matter which nic you want to use, please make sure your default route and resolv.conf file.
example as below:

#vi /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 168.95.1.1

#vi /etc/sysconfig/network

GATEWAY= 210.4.102.254
