Duplexing (CUPS problem?)

Hi all.

Something is really annoying me. I have 4 RedHat machines, all running Workstation 4 Update 1. Latest version of cups, libgnome-cups etc.

On only 1 of the machines, in openoffice, kate, gedit etc you can't select duplexing. The box is blanked out for any printer.

On the other 3 machines, you can select duplexing on the required printer no problem.

All the machines get their info from a single cups server.

Any ideas on what might be causing this discrepency? What deals with duplexing options in Linux, is this a cups managed thing?

Thanks in advance.
