Well Livna is for fedora, so you'll soon find you're in a very horrible state when one update cascades dozens and dozens of other fedora specific packages and eventually just collapses in a heap. the binary applications will probably work fine, but RPM lives at a higher level where it's often the package name (which includes distro specific versioning e.g fc8 vs el5) that is the commanding factor over what is required.
