Cannot start Xserver

Xserver will not start after I ran the yum updates. I get this error:

Could not init font element unix/:700, removing from list!

Fatal server error:
could not open default font 'fixed'

Please consult the The X.Org Foundation Support

XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server ":0:0" after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

Any ideas?????

I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to post it since I don't have a browser currently on my Linux box since X won't start. Is there a particular line you want me to post?

Those concerning fonts and your font server. X is trying to get the fonts from your xfs server, but it can't connect to it. When you write unix:/700, do you mean 7100 or did you really see 700 in the error output ? If it's 700, X is not looking for xfs where it should.

I meant 7100. Just found out that the xfs wasn't starting on bootup. I had disabled the service because I thought it had to do with the network file server (NFS). I didn't know it was the X font server. Thanks again.
