Add a Launcher to the menu

Hi, I have installed some extra packages into Red Hat 9 since install, and would like to add them to the Red hat Icon applications menu, on the lower left of the screen (the menu, not the bar)

I have tried right-clicking and using the "Add an new Item to this menu" but it does not work. I have also tried going to "applications://"

I've also tried searching for an answer, but I've only found vague replies.

ALSO: I would preferably like to add it to all users menus, so that even new users have to options.

Update: I can't delete things either. Now, after a failed installation and manual removal of Unreal tournament, I have an extra broken Launcher under games)

to delete items from the menu, click open the Start Here icon, navigate to Applications, Preferences, or wherever the menu item is located, and delete that item with shift + Delete. pretty sure you have to have root privileges to remove menu items, and to remove for all users you can log in as root and make the changes that you desire. log out or reboot for changes to appear for other users.

others can correct me if i'm wrong on this, but i think these menu items are stored in /usr/share/applications if you care to play around with them.

hope this helps
