Acer aspire have ethernet problem in linux

Hi friends,
Recently I have purchased a new Acer aspire IQ 4834 with core2quad 2.5ghz. Recently i have installed Redhat 5.0 in my machine. Everything work properly but i can,t edit network information because it doesn't show the ethernet port. My ethernet card is Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCIE Gigabit ethernet NIC. Can you please tell wher can i download the driver for my motherboard.

Welcome to LQ Forums.
I think your driver is sklin98 or something tike that. Best would be if you either:
1. Upgrade your RHEL 5.0 to RHEL 5.4 (if you paid for subscription)
2. or to Download and instal CentOS 5.4 (Same thing as RHEL but it is free and you can update at no cost)

Newer RHEL kernels have native support for that NIC.

Third option is to go to the Realtek site and download then compile driver for that NIC.
