Post Writing NTFS via Samba client

Hi everybody,

with new kernel 2.6.x now it is possible to write NTFS even if I don't trust too much. But I would like to ask if it is really safe to write on a NTFS partition via samba client. I tried many times and it works very well from a Linux box to a Windows box via network of course.

When you write across the network to a Windows machine, t's not Linux that does the write, it's the WINDOWS kernel doing the writing to NTFS. That's as safe as it gets, I'm afraid.
