I had a acer netbook with aspire linpus linux on it, and loaded Teenpup over the top. The ethernet driver is working, can go on the internet with the ethernet cable, but cannot get on wireless. ive been to the control panel, and its massive list of drivers, but none ive tried have been compatable, nor have i had any success with the "auto-probe" feature. does anyone know what driver i should be using for my acer netbook?? this is my first time using linux, i am deeply impressed by it as an ox, but advice on this would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
Type "lshw" in a terminal to find out what wireless chip you are using. You could have the Atheros ar5007 model. The madwifi package is available at the link below. Just click on the .pet to install.
Ummm thanks for the help but the lshw command dosnt work. the termainl responds that "command not found". niether does Ishw. is there a diffent command for teen pup thean anything else??
Go to menu>system>pupscan interface connection. Click on it,Click on PCI interfaces, your network wireless chip should look something like this. (I am not on my Acer Aspire One at the present time, This readout is from my wireless for my IBM t23 Laptop running Puppy 4.31)

Hi there
If you are using teenpup mini then you require the latest 3G pet from Rerwin. It has all the latest drivers for puppy linux, and teenpup seems to be very happy so far as I know after installing it.
I currently am using teenpup with my acer netbook, and it is working beautifully. Also have it working with my 3G vodafone but needed to install this pet. Not all drivers are in teenpup for the acer as I believe it was designed for the Eee pcs, but I have found it to be a very nice puplet for any machine so far.
Here is the link, just scroll down to find his 3G_pupdial-wireless-13.pet
