xterm window

Hi,

I am not able to figure out How I can start an xterm window in some arbitrary path and execute a program in that directory.

For example my home directory is /home/linuxdoniv and i have to execute a program in /home/linuxdoniv/temp in one more xterm window.

What parameters should I give for system() system call so that this is done.

Thanks for any help.
