What is an EIP error?

Anybody know what an EIP error is? Got the following but never came across it before so dont have a clue:

EIP error: failed to list index classes: com.ibm.mm.beans.CMBException: error unmarshalling return; nested exception is:
java.io.InvalidClassException: com.ibm.mm.sdk.common.DKEntityDefFed; local class incompatible: stream classdesc serialVersionUID = -5384511306027784692, local class serialVersionUID = -7248661714685018090

EIP stands for "Extended Instruction Pointer". This can happen for example if the value of the EIP saved on the stack was altered and the exception was thrown returning from a subroutine because the value popped off the stack was invalid. Some old programs may have a problem with security protections like DEP.
