Unused memory area

I not sure where but i have found out there is some small space in the ram close to Interrupt vector table (IVT) that a user application could use ... In fact it is for the BIOS to use ... so does anyone know what is the address range for it ..

I have found out that from a user application you can read and write in the memory from 0x00010000 till 0x0009FFFF .. that will solve my contiguous physical memory problem but i would have to do the memory management myself
