transforming files

Hi, i use suse 10 and kdevelop with c++. I need to transform PDF, HTML, XML, WRD or DOC files to simple txt files.

I search in /usr/bin/ and i found "pdftotext" for example.
So in c++ i do: system("/usr/bin/pdftotext hi.pdf hi.txt");

Does anyone know witch are the other tools o command for the other types of files (HTML, XML, WRD or DOC) ??

Do i need to download them ? from where? or they are with suse ?. I hava installed it ALL.

THANKS

There's a tool-set called wv out there, that comes with wvHtml,
wvText, wvPdf and the likes which you would have been able to
see (if they are installed, that is) when you open a shell, type
wv and a <TAB> ...

Cheers,
Tink
