tell to another process....

Hi all,
i have a question here.....say
i have a process "A"( a .c file having main()) which contains a variable named "flag"...
now i want to write an inteface function that is provided by process "A" which will be placed in library..... such that other processes say B and C (placed in other directories each having a main )can use this function..... so if i want to use the variable "flag"'s value( of process "A")( or to change that value) in the interface function....how to do that ?? is that possible.. ?? will that make sense ??

Not a lot about your question makes sense, even if I do understand the question. However, what I believe you are attempting to describe falls under the category of Inter Process Communication, or IPC.
