Question suggest a software

hey guys, can you suggest a software for me?
i want to create a program which will work in Linux and am looking at different prog languages available in linux. the purpose of the prog is to fill in and submit webpages on my website on my US server. i made a prog in VB6 which used the web browser control (IE) to access my page and fill text boxes and click submit button.
was just wondering how i could do that in linux. pls also bear in mind that these are not static html pages, but webpages of my forum(phpbb). think of it as me posting a message to my forum every hour or so.
other examples of use:
filling in webpage so that i can upload pics to sites like imageshack ( i have my own gallery s/w ). problem is that VB6's webbrowser (IE) cannot set values to the <input type=file> fields. is there any way to do that?
How about .net to do the stuff that i mentioned above? ( am a in .net )
Thanks in advance

Hi there,
Look i don't know if there is some library or API that can fill the web forms. But you can write your own to do that in any language. I think you also serach it in JAVA. All you have to do is to open your web page. Search for the HTML tag <Type Input> and set its value, similarly if you want to check some check box, you can serach for it in HTML and set its value "Checked". This will fill the form.
To make it easy, look JAVA servlets.

well, classically you can use perl/CGI for simple web stuff.
or PHP.
I think there are also free forum software tools.
