Angry SegFault when running Irrlicht 1.7.1 program with Quake 3 level

Hey ya'll,

I am trying to learn to use irrlicht so I can one day create a FPS. The problem is that I am using a Quake 3 level called q3dm12 from Q3Arena. I have gotten the Demo binary to compile and run with it (sort of) then it segfaults:

Code:
Irrlicht Engine version 1.7.1
Linux 2.6.28-19-generic #64-Ubuntu SMP Wed Aug 18 21:59:08 UTC 2010 x86_64
Using renderer: OpenGL 3.3.10057
ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series : ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL driver version is 1.2 or better.
GLSL version: 3.3
...
Loaded texture: /opt/irrlicht-1.7.1/media/portal7.bmp
Loaded texture: /opt/irrlicht-1.7.1/media/particlewhite.bmp
Loaded texture: /opt/irrlicht-1.7.1/media/fireball.bmp
Segmentation fault
I think when it tries to load it. So I decide to test my rudimentary debugger skills at set it up to use with gdb and got the following at the end:

Code:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
[Switching to Thread 0x7f591490e710 (LWP 4895)]
0x00000000006c1091 in irr::scene::CQuake3ShaderSceneNode::vertextransform_tcgen ()
Current language: auto; currently asm
Oh before I forget. I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 amd64, latest ATI closed source drivers, and irrlicht 1.7.1

If any could help it would be great. If any other info is needed, feel free to ask.

I have no idea about the answer to your question, but AFAIK Irrlicht is a 3D engine (open source). Can you really use it with a Quake 3 level, which is a commercial game...? The world gets more amazing every day, it seems.....

Supposedly yes. It can natively load .pk3 files and .bsp (both Quake 3 formats). I was able to get it to load on the QuakeMap demo just not the Demo demo.
