Question Runing scripts using Java


thanks for reply....
my project is-
i want to use java as tool in which i give an input,and on the basis of this input my specific script run.
for example....
if we talk about web server..
in my java page..i have to just type my web page name...say www.arun.com
and then enter the text...say "hi how are you"
then my script will run...
in the script it itself start the service,then edit the configuration file in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
and make changes according to my input in java page...
i know the scripting but i dont know how java command will execute my script...
can you suggest me any idea????

I can suggest that you create a new thread titled "Running scripts using Java" for this topic here:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/programming-9/

Then someone script programmer might see your thread and help you.

Hi, arun8900 -

If I'm hearing you correctly, you might not want a "script" at all.

You might want to consider looking at something like "Tomcat":
