^ no, laserbeak, it's even simpler than that; i input some appropriate search terms into my favorite search engine (i believe it was "linux ffmpeg recursive transcode") and it is right there, first search result, with a code example so i don't even have to click the link.

edit: granted, not everyone uses duckduckgo (maybe they should) and google probably doesn't include code examples in its results. but first search result nevertheless.
