First of all what is the source of that video and in which format is it comming, So you have to write a code that can understand that format. For this you first know what is the header of that video?? and then after understanding all this you can decode the video into you cutomize format or to the format of bm or jpg or whatever image format you want.

Infact your question is very abstract, Jsut illustrate it so that someone can understand the senario .

Ok you mean you want to access the video device. Or want to create it manually.

you'll need to get your video capture card working if you havnt got that done already, it seems VERY outdated but this site is the best i could find. once its working it seems to export itsself through the v4l interface for which the api can be found here. v4l is becoming outdated and is being replaced by v4l2, i dont know how that will effect the iomega buzz driver though.
