PHP question for u out there...


WHAT does it mean when a variable like $login
is preceded with @ like:

@$login..


and what does this declaration mean: if(@$login = "user")

Error Control Operators

This symbol is used to supress errors. See this section in the PHP manual for more info.

In the code you've provided, the '@' symbol will supress any errors that may result from the assignment.
