PHP Programming


hi guys,

i wish to do some Server Side Web programming in Ubuntu 5.10..
Is there any tool that i can use to design the Interface for my WebPages??

Also, wat are the different Databases that i can use in Ubuntu 5.10 to connect my Web Application to a Database??

i'm guessing you're talking about an IDE? well there's gPhpEdit for gnome and then there's Bluefish...personally i love vim. you can use my config's if you want. they're optimized for PHP (with phpdoc support) and mediawiki formatting options: junk.housni.org/vim_conf.tar.gz

php supports a few db's. i've used mysql and postgres. there are a few more that are documented at the PHP manual.

There used to be a linux implementation of ASP but err, why would you? I'd say if you're learning a new language go Ruby on Rails.

PHP is easy to learn and for web edit, mozilla is good also.
