ello, quick question, I have set up a guestbook on mah webserver using php no MySQL database *couldn't figure the thing out* but anytime someone goes to write an entry they get a white screen that says cant write to as4321.tmp or some such msg now i think its creating tmp files for the guestbook before writing to the file & when it does this it creates a file after bout two tries where it locks the files then i have to log back in as root delete the data.lck file and then it will work any help u can give me as to how to let the webserver allow these tmp files to write to the guestbook would be appreciated I got the guestbook php from http://www.lkcc.org/achim

I just installed it here;

data,temp,and config.phpThat was all on that link you had,I am now changing the permissions back if it will still work.I need to do some more searching don't like to have to 777 something,good luck
