Opinions: Best Lisp Dialect?

"Best" is obviously a vague term and dependent on many factors... but I'm just curious what dialects people prefer and why they like them. I don't really have any biases myself at present, as all I really know is a bit of Emacs lisp.

Common Lisp has one of the thickest documentation-manuals I have ever seen.

GNU's Lisp is certainly one of the most commonly used dialects, simply because it is reasonably well-featured and readily available.

"Beware! Remove thine sandals and thy hat, oh padewan, before ye venture into yonder Halles of Mysteries... from whence no one hath ever come out with their punctuation intact! Fortsooth, ye will never look at parentheses the same way again. But, ye will come to know that anything can be done if ye but use enough of them."

Hi.

After watching/reading/tweaking the Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs my heart belongs to scheme (another dialect of lisp)

Well, people say that emacslisp isn't really Lisp, although Emacs is the best editor for Lisp-programmers.

I'm learning Lisp since some years now (but I'm still a newbie). Common Lisp seems to be the most common dialect of Lisp.
It seems that quicklisp is becomming an interesting alternative http://www.cliki.net/Quicklisp

Having a functional programming background, Clojure sounded interesting. Except for that whole Java part.
