need help in programing a small command


hello,

i need a command that "accually" goes into /root/wireless/ipw3945-1.2.1 and the run's ./load debug=0

how do i write that?

i tried just running /root/wireless/ipw3945-1.2.1/load but it's not working, only if i "cd /root/wireless/ipw3945-1.2.1/" and then "./load" it works. anyone have a suggestion?

You could try putting /root/wireless/ipw3945-1.2.1 on your PATH like so:

PATH = $PATH:/root/wireless/ipw3945-1.2.1

Then run load.

Nah, I think his problem is that "load" has references to files in "." and it doesn't get what it thinks it's gonna get because he's running it from his current directory.

I have had that problem before and didn't know how to fix it. Maybe I used a symlink or something, I forget. We have no way of knowing if that's his problem because he didn't describe it in much detail

kav is right, but i solved it with cd /root/wireless/ipw3945-1.2.1 && sudo ./load
