mkntfs formatting a ntfs drive


has anyone used mkntfs in a shell script to format an ntfs drive. I tried doing it like "mkntfs /dev/hda2" but it say there not enough space it a 500 mb partition? Any have any ideas?

I can't even write to my ntfs parition, how can you even format it in Linux. NTFS Write support in the 2.6.x kernel is UNSAFE. I do not recommend formatting NTFS drive from linux, rather do it from Windows

winblows is never the solution.
check your partitions!!!
